The deleted.

A while back I took inventory of my social sites and deleted a good number of them. Most of the sites went unused. In some instances the services were auto-fed updates or at the very least had bits of interesting data. It was last night, for the first time, I had some regrets about deleting these services.

The two that stand out the most:

  • Last.fm
  • Foursquare

These two stick out mainly because there are so many interesting hacks and uses for the data there. And each service had well over a years worth of data already collected.

I’m starting to write out my 2012 goals. One of which will most likely be travel and social events. Foursquare again can be extremely useful for this however using Foursquare still feels off. It feels spammy and a distraction from actually attending the event.

Enter goal two. Track my goals and personal data better. Daytum may come in handy for this. Who knows…
